Portside Greenway

Did you know?

Greenways are car-light to car-free All Ages and Abilities (AAA) (1.7 MB) active transportation corridors, that serve as high-quality continuous public spaces.

We are planning to upgrade and expand the Portside Greenway to create a continuous route from Alexander Street to Boundary Road that prioritizes safe, comfortable walking, biking, and rolling, with great public spaces along the way.

The Portside Greenway has been identified in many plans over the years, including the Greenways Plan (7.4 MB) (1995), Transportation 2040 (2012), and the Vancouver Plan (2022). The project also supports key civic priorities including equity and climate action.

What's happeningPhase 3 public engagement for Wall Street segment

Based on your feedback from Phase 2, we've improved the car-light design. We want to hear what you think about the proposed design for Wall Street and other traffic calming ideas in the neighbourhood.

This fall, we'll share what we heard with the community.

Construction on Wall Street West is expected to begin in 2027. Construction on Wall Street Central and East are expected to begin in 2028 due to changes with sewer work and the planning of the 2027-2030 Capital Plan budget.
