Since the construction of Southeast False Creek, we have continued advancing on sustainability by setting the goal of being the greenest city in the world.
Policy highlights
- New developments must be built to protect homes and critical infrastructure from future flooding events due to climate change and rising sea levels. Recently, Council approved an increase to the required elevation of new developments by an additional meter over previous levels
