We’re carrying out structural rehabilitation work on the south approach ramps of the Granville Bridge. This includes concrete repairs, deck joint repairs, and bearing replacement work.
This planned maintenance work supports this infrastructure's ability to continue providing a safe and reliable transportation route for all users.
What's happeningConstruction underway until summer 2026
Work is taking place on the decks of the 4 ramps used to enter and exit the bridge on the south side, and on the piers that support the ramps from below.
Impacts on bridge deck
The bridge off-ramp to Fir Street is closed until November 2025. All other ramps on the south end are open.
The bridge off-ramp to West 4th Avenue has been reopened. Future closure of this ramp expected in the coming months.
Pedestrian detours will be in place at all times.
Impacts below bridge ramps
If travelling on or near Anderson Street (below the bridge ramps), expect occasional road closures, detours, and parking restrictions.
