  Access to residences and businesses

  We’ll maintain access to businesses, community resources, and residences. 

• 

  Traffic

  Street and lane closures will be in effect to facilitate construction. To keep the public and workers safe, vehicle traffic may be directed to one side of the road or limited to a single lane at times. 

  Follow directions from on-site traffic personnel and posted traffic signs. Watch for potential detours as work progresses.

  Commuters are advised to expect delays and plan ahead.

  Parking

  Temporary parking restrictions will be in effect to accommodate construction. Be sure to watch for “No Parking” signs as work progresses.

• 

  Walking and cycling

  Walking and cycling access will be retained where possible, with detours in place. Watch for signage as access points may change.

• 

  Noise and vibration

  Nearby noise, dust, and vibration are expected during construction.

  Efforts will be made to limit noise within by‑law hours. Advance notice will be provided for any work outside those hours under a noise by‑law exception permit.

• 

  Garbage and recycling

  Construction will not affect the regular garbage and recycling collection schedule in your area.

  If your regular pick-up or drop-off location becomes obstructed, the on-site crew will communicate these changes to you.

• 

  Water service impacts

  Advance notice will be given for any planned water service disruptions, except in emergencies.

  If you experience cloudy water or have concerns related to your drinking water quality, phone 3-1-1 or submit a request online.
