We’re upgrading critical sewer infrastructure along Kamloops Street between East Broadway and East 5th Avenue.
The existing sewer system will be replaced with a separated and larger-capacity system, with 1 pipe for rainwater runoff and another pipe for sewage. This new sewer main will have a life expectancy of 100 years to help serve the growing neighbourhood.
What's happeningConstruction will begin winter 2025
Work will begin near East Broadway and move north towards East 5th Avenue. As work progresses, expect:
- Road and lane closures
- Detours
- Parking restrictions
- Recycling and garbage disposal changes
We’ll maintain access to businesses and residences.

Duration
The project is expected to be completed by winter 2026.
Work hours
Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm, with extended hours as needed.
Weekends and evenings: as needed
