- Flexible and open design to support a variety of events and layouts
- Built in seating area and upgraded furniture
- New trees and plantings, including green rainwater infrastructure
- Electrical upgrades to support small events, decorative lighting, and more
- Separate walking and cycling paths (18th Avenue bikeway)
- Drinking fountain
- Wider sidewalks and bus stop improvements along Cambie Street
- New concrete plaza surface
