We’re carrying out transportation upgrades to Drake Street between Burrard Street to Pacific Boulevard. This includes:
- A 2-way protected bike lane between Burrard Street and Hamilton Street, with 1-way eastbound vehicle traffic only
- A 1-way eastbound protected bike lane between Hamilton Street and Pacific Boulevard, with 2-way vehicle traffic retained
These upgrades will provide a more comfortable and convenient route for people walking and cycling through downtown and on the upgraded cycle and pedestrian routes on the Granville Bridge.
This new design includes feedback we heard through engagement with community members, businesses, and stakeholders.
