We’re making critical water main infrastructure upgrades along Heather St from West 33rd Ave to West 41st Ave to help serve this growing neighbourhood.
This vital work includes the replacement of an aging water main originally installed in 1953 and the construction of a new water distribution main.
Our water mains play a critical role in our mission to provide a sustainable supply of high-quality potable water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. Clean, treated water comes from Metro Vancouver through our water mains and then is distributed via a series of pipes to homes and businesses.
The new water mains will improve the system’s seismic resiliency and will have a life expectancy of about 100 years.
